Okay? Ichigo still did it despite the fact that "protecting" her was his sole reason to rise from the dead. The closest Ulquiorra comes to that is when he touches her chest when questioning her about the heart. And it's quickly framed as his autistic scrutiny, since after Ichigo appears he clarifies he has no reason to hurt her, since there was no such order given.

It's even more hilarious in hindsight when Kubo drew that one-shot for Ulquiorra's backstory a few years later where she appears in it. He falls asleep on her couch while on duty and she treats him like a friend. It's like they're playing house instead of being ward and warden. Seems quite clear to me Kubo either changed his mind about their hostility or never intended for them to be hostile to each other in the first place. It does better explain why she acts the way she does in his final moments tbqh

Kubo's whole goal with Ulquiorra was a character that is nihilistic to a fault, but not by choice. So I'd argue the point was that unlike all the other 'evil arrancar', you just don't sense any hostility from him up until the moment he's decided threatening or killing you is needed to achieve his goals, because there genuinely is none

Cour 2 is called the worst of the bunch for its terrible pacing and slow ass fights just like the manga. Cour 3 is better but it’s too late after the disappointment that was Cour 2. The time in gap to wait makes it worse.

I gave this a chance after the last Bleach thing I’ve seen was the anime years ago. OST is good and like the flashy animation, but Ichigo being absent or barely doing anything in the new anime is why I dropped it. The writing seems to have gone in zigzag because there’s no focal point. I still love Bleach but not the last arc. Maybe that’ll change with cour 4 but I doubt it.

Hallibel is queen of hueco mundo, Grimmjow would constantly butt heads with her unless he respected her strength, and the only way I see him doing that is if she respects him.

Nelliel is a strange case, cause nell's actions can be interpreted in different ways, but there's zero response from Grimmjow.

From my understanding Kaien died not too long after Rukia joined the 13th after being adopted by the Kuchiki. Kubo DID plan some things. The Zangetsu twist is quite clever and unlikely to have been just backtracking, since too many things fall into place to be just mere coincidence. Or he's just far better at covering his writing retroactively than I give him credit for, which is pretty impressive. Either way, this is nothing new. WSJ mangaka throw shit at a wall until something sticks and don't have the luxury to plan out every story until they land the one that "made it". Imagine spending days or weeks writing just drafts only to get successive axes. Even folks like Wani who supposedly planned out Demon Slayer with her first editor after the first chapters definitely improvised.
