What was society like prior to the Japs showing up? The ancap system works with their sparse populations and them being thrust into an industrial revolution tech tree, but it seems odd to me they'd have that underlying concept of individual and communal autonomy. The Japs certainly didn't impart it on them when showing them how to refine oil
Didn't watch the shorts until I heard about them in this thread; goddamn they're a lot of fun
I feel like using 3D models for character animations has freed up the animators to do a lot more background gags; there is something funny going on in the background of almost every one of these episodes-- the animation overall looks much, much smoother than before too; it really makes me wish for an S2
A massive improvement from the sort of tech used for Sidonia, for example

I'm sure the now EOS'd phonegame would have helped fill out some of them
Too bad nothing of it was ever translated
That said, it doesn't really feel like any of the characters are half-people, but they do all need more screentime
>>279654786
There's some minor terminology (likely due to translation) and process errors with that, but it's good enough.
Few outside of people with actual experience with radial engines and aircraft of that vintage will catch them.

This is so close to their actual relationship its fucking funny >>279652670
It was basically 1890s; industrialization was fully complete and in full swing but the Yufang pitched them up a half century; hence the wild west sort of stuff that's mixed with the parallel evolution of WWII tech that's been cooking for a few generations
Source is from an interview with the project director a few years ago which I cannot find again so just trust me bro

I imagine she'd keep a thorough logbook

People remember this show for the planes, but I remember it for Kylie. She was crazy, selfish, arrogant, lusting for blood, among other traits that people don't usually give to these cute girl MCs out of fear of it making them uncute.
>>279683566
for some time it was, but then they started mixing modern stuff into early WWII tiers
italians were the first symptom, swedes killed it completely
tbf i stopped playing around the time they added MiG-21 bises
on ground i reached the Kpz-70 which was a lot of fun and then i lost interest
the grind was too much, both for exp and money
>>279690371
Both are right and wrong.
You can't just allow people to decide shit on their own. Thats anarchy. And even then, sooner or later a powerful group or individuals will take control, creating dictatorship.
Julia's question is valid. But she doesn't provide any alternative. Really, only "acceptable" alternative is democracy. Preferably with good voting systems.

You're in luck: the F2H was an obsolescent airframe outfitted with anemic engines approved by ignorant brasshats. The only good thing about it was its service ceiling; too bad its Eastern Bloc contemporaries were vastly superior in every aspect, including service ceiling and performance at altitude.
>>279662796
That might be an issue if not for rules of engagement requiring verification of target identity/allegiance before attacking it, which generally requires visual confirmation since everyone deactivates the IFF feature on combat missions.

Fighter jocks fancy themselves invincible and incessantly feel compelled to do monumentally stupid things to satisfy their own bloated egos. In other news, water is wet.
>>279691032
Too bad democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner, much like that powerful group or individuals you mentioned taking control.

Don't forget to watch the series, then watch the film (which is the series with some bits removed and some extra scenes added), then watch the web-minis that introduced the characters from the now defunct gacha game, then read the prequel manga, then pester Lardagus in any thread he shows up in to get /ak/ to consider translating the LNs

I get annoyed with recap films that offer new content. The movie has a much better intro for the show and there are a few movie-only scenes in the middle I enjoy, but I'd rather watch the entire series than an abridged version.
On that note, I uploaded the Kotobuki mobage story that I collected from various youtube uploads as it was releasing. The originals probably aren't up anymore, at least I couldn't immediately find the ones I tried searching for.
I don't remember what the release order was and some of the event stories also correspond to certain episodes of the Harukaze shorts. https://mega.nz/folder/y14XnSQI#ENrjYpm89CwgWQlTXRIgww

It's an old and well known anime. Most people who like planes already watched and talk about it many times over. >>279695550
Many plane enthusiasts in this thread know more about real planes than pseud like you
>>279703582
Eh I actually don't care if the character animation isn't the greatest as long as the planes are done well. And I thought first season did that.
