The SRT subs looked very different depending on the whether someone was using the MPC-HC, MPV, or VLC. At least that's what my testing the previous week on my own machine showed me. That's part of why I moved to the substationalpha subs since they have greater positional control, the other reason was it's what all the real groups are doing. Of course they still look different in each player but it's more normalized now. Or should be anyways. Make sure to report any problems to me and I'll look into fixing it in coming releases.

I think the pacing has been slow even for a 50ep. I know they wanted the first bit to be about the characters, and they are nice enough, but I think they waited too long to introduce real stakes. They might have been waiting to move the actual plot along but there could be more personal jeopardy to keep things ticking over. Since Nacchi it’s been standard victim of the weak stuff and very little for the princesses to worry about, Drun beat them up then promptly decided to not do that again and the princesses seemed to just go back to normal and never mentioned it again. While Alicepia is an interesting concept and could pay off in the long run, the fact it is another world and the complete lack of clarity about it and bandsnatch’s motivations are other things that stops things feeling consequential.
By and large I still like it because the characters are fun and staff has good attention to detail and a sense of humour. Now that it seems some plot is happening I hope it picks up in that respect because so far it’s like a CGDCT with good songs.

It feels like the Symphogear writers are struggling with the pacing. They're used to snappy one-cour shows, so being given so much time, they don't really know what to fill it with. They're still trying hard, every episode introduces new characters and has fun jokes, but it's starting to feel too episodic. Precure sometimes has this problem too, but they put more of a spotlight on the main characters, so even filler episodes feel like the story is developing somehow, while in this show, the main girls mostly only act upon the world, the world doesn't act upon them.

Which is a bit sad cause most of the English speaking fandom Symphogear and Princession gets have no idea for many of these. XV was so chock full of references but no all they amount to was "Watch Symphogear! It's Gay asf".

That's just the one I watched literally last month I'm sure someone better versed in Precure could give other examples. Of course that's an example of tell not show.
