It's an audience that has shit taste in the first place and eats up anything as long as it has ass and tits. If you want an actual indicator of quality just look at all the artists who explicitly outlaw Hoyoverse on their comm sheets because they're exhausted of drawing dime a dozen complex chink outfits that torture their fingers. Or how those same artists will go crazy on fanart when an actual anime girl becomes FOTM and finally gives them something nice and simple to draw.
