honestly a decent chapter

the main problem this manga has is taking every single character and screwing up their plot or personality and becoming uninteresting
>nomamoto flanderized when she started off as the main character, barely has any strategic thinking or emotional depth or interesting relationships with other characters
>kitami the determined serial killer but who starts to doubt himself, doubt if all aliens are bad, constantly second guess what he's doing and have confused inner thoughts even though we mostly see through his perspective
>iglaskar not getting much screentime, not being explained why he's giving pro-alien college lectures, not taking seriously his threat to find out noma's disposal method then killing them both
>backbone is completely ineffectual in her role as a spy, became reduced to a butt-monkey who has neither strong comedic moments nor any creative or interesting competence as a spy
>the idol girl's role as an idol doesnt mean anything if her popularity or beauty or whatever dont affect her plot relevance, also her whole company and audience is dead and nobody cares, also is supposed to be kitami's sister's friend but said some not nice stuff about her, also is supposed to love aliens but is conflicted about that too
>lily creating a lot of mystery and spicing up the way this world works and how aliens behave and kitami's backstory, also taking some pretty bold actions, but then unceremoniously dying with none of the questions really answered

this manga has been really losing me but this chapter was a step in the right direction, now all that's left is to see if none of this opportunity is wasted and this new character doesnt lose interest like every other so far; part of me wonders if an editor or writer friend made a recommendation or something because this chapter has been unusually on pace and touching on all the right plot threads

Volume 3 drops in August, but sales will still be terrible for sure
