Kira Kira Precure A La Review 11!

Not quite sure how I feel on this one, but there was some pretty cool things happening.

Summary for the anons that need it: Its time for the Strawberry festival, and its a tradition for Ichika and her dad to go. But not this year, Ichika smacks him down and tells him not to come! At the Festival Ichika meets up with the girls and their sales begin. Aoi is calling people in, Akira being the cool face, Himari serving, and Ichika doing Ichika things; probably cooking. But where is our cool cat? Turns out she rallied the fan clubs in, which begins a parade of previous characters coming by to get thier tarts. But Ichika forgot one person: Her dad doing his best Solid Snake impression. When he finally reveals himself Ichika dies of embarrassment as he demands an adult supervice. Luckily Ghost man is brought in so Ichika can rail on his failure of a daughter. Annoyed now, Ichika runs him off just in time for all the previous MoTW to attack. Just as Ichika's dad finds a shortcake for later, all the Kirakira is stole; save for his cake. One of the MoTW attack, but being the powerhouse of a man, he kicks it away. A new baddie has appeared and combines all the MoTW into one which quickly attacks Ichika's dad for his cake. Threats not working, the man is thrown down and very nearly, almost, very likely, without a doubt is mortally wounded. In comes Whip crying over the loss of her father and his folley of needing to save a cake. Wait, he's just KOed? All those tears are now fresh Kirakira Juice for the Cures to fight. Touched by the scene, all the towns people also send up the Kirakira juice to create a town-sized spirit bomb, which the cures use to slap down the MoTW and cleans the warped fairies. After Ichika provides her dad with some of the tart in the most teenaged Tsundere way possible.

This was heavily an Ichika episode, but I don't remember too many leads getting this snippy with their parents. On one hand I get why she'd be annoyed with her dad, him being all lovey-dovey dad in private, and on the other in public just hard embarrassing her. I liked the transformation a lot. A lot of movement and spinning, a neat reference to the concept of yin and yang like the original black and white duo.
