Also when writers who intrinsically do not believe in women are forced to write strong female characters, the only thing they can think of is physically strong woman.
Last problem, a woman who has a strong personality, but not physically strong must resort to other methods to assert herself, such as cunning, intelligence, a fair amount of charisma and manipulation. All of which are much harder to write in a credible way while it's easier to make a Girlboss only one competent because everyone else is stupid. And even when they are done well, the woman still risks being seen as a manipulative whore by the male audience.
