Unfiltered cinema. Love them both for different reasons. The OG Hellsing with its Gothic horror aesthetic drew me back into anime after I had grown tired of Shounen alop and Hellsing Ultimate is also pure kino, altough bit of a shame that they dropped the darker aesthetic even if they did for Manga accuracy.

A shame that animes like these are no given the attention they deserve in these days and ages.

I only watched the old one and when I see scenes from Ultimate I feel that the animation and overall quality is better but the scenes just don't have the same punch as the old one. The Walter scene when they invade the HQ was so much better even with a way worse production quality.
