>>279714749 No, you'd be reaching, because no one looked around for reasons to call stories with a djinn or multiverses like rick n morty "isekai" until you came along. The joke wasn't funny the second time you made it either.
>>279714164 (OP) The premise is just a hook in isekai trash. Most of them go full generic once the first arc is over. The one in your OP is particularly egregious because it's a pixiv manga: the MC never grows. From the first episode to the last, she never stops complaining about muh overtime.

>>279714164 (OP) Cute ED, everything else was painful. I should be sold on a premise by the time the opening sequence finishes. It would have been better if she had been the villain of sorts, refusing to pay out rewards and generally working at all, then she has this crazy weapon. The bulk of the story being the hero-guy trying to recruit her, or just have her do whatever guild shit. So he'd get chased by monsters to the city gates where she'd flatten them.

Are there any isekai where the protagonist dies in the isekai world, and gets Reincarnated again? In Hinduism, you gotta shut your mouth and know your role to move up the chain. If you get bumped from human to ant, you gotta do your best as a ant and maybe you'll get bumped up to a ladybug. So are there any isekai protagonists who have to deal with that?

>people still malding about native isekai Is it a good term, not really, but it's not any worse than "role playing game" or "multiplayer online battle arena" when it comes to name accurately describing the genre. In most isekai the actual moving to a different world becomes a vestigial feature like 3 chapters in and it's not really the most defining part of the genre anyway. "Native isekai" aren't really fantasy stories in the classic sense but more isekai stories that just dropped the pretence, because that wasn't a critical part in the first place.
>>279714749 That's reverse isekai. The world isekai ็ฐไธ็ literally means other world, and the genre involves a character going to a different world from his original. It has nothing to do with fantasy, time travel, or your own perception of the world. "Native isekai" was a shitpost that started on /a/ to explain fantasy.

The funny thing is that something like The Deltora Quest anime feels 100% more like an actual RPG than really anything in the last decade even though it's an adaptation of a book series. Something like Frieren almost has the same feeling, but it devolves when the magic exam arc and ends up feeling like another isekai even if it's just a "regular" fantasy story.
