Decent episode. Not as good as the previous episode though. The sleeper train is quite interesting, though something I will never ride. Izumo seems to be a peaceful and yet somewhat interesting place. It's really out of the place though, and I wouldn't really go out of the way just to visit Japanese spiritual places.

The wrong bus incident seemed pretty dumb to be honest, even if it can happen and even if bus mishaps do indeed suck. I bet the author manufactured it for the manga and didn't actually experience it himself. The girls should confirm the situation with the bus driver ASAP, ask for a recommended route, and get off at the next stop if needed. But yeah, traveling by bus in Japan can really suck big time. It makes me highly respect Japanese bus travel show hosts like Tagawa Yosuke.

This pretty much exemplifies my whole problem with animators using CGI/photos/AI to speed up their work. It's not that I mind them taking reasonable shortcuts, it's that it creates this culture of laziness where people seem to put more effort into finding shortcuts to their work than would have been needed to just do the work properly in the first place. If they had sloppily drawn some rough backgrounds for this show they might look like shit but at least they would have some of that hand-made charm to them and the audience would appreciate the work put into them knowing some background artist tried his best. But no one is going to appreciate the work put into these filter backgrounds, and they look like shit anyway, so what was gained by avoiding drawn backgrounds? Whatever effort went into these background was completely wasted.
