>Synopsis

On a rainy day, Fuji meets a cute critter posing as a dog and offering an umbrella and a cue card that says, β€œPlease take me home,” and she can’t resist. With this dog-poster’s quirky charm and mysterious ways, life together becomes a heartwarming adventure of friendship and shared seasons.

>Demographic: Seinen
What? going by the face and general topic I would've focused that this aim towards girls and woman alike. But then again, I feel like "demographic" labels like this are often retarded if not straight up wrong.

Demographics are the magazine. Weekly Shounen Jump is a shounen magazine for instance, but JJK had 60 percent of its sales because of fujoshi that loved the yaoi bait pandering.

Is that really all there is to it for manga? God that's fucking stupid and confusing... Either way, thanks for the heads up, appreciate it.
>60 percent of its sales because of fujoshi
Makes me wonder how common this is for y/u/ri autists, probably similar in some magazine or another.

So is this an interspecies romance, or just a slice-of-life with pets?

Yeap. While there are some genres that are more represented in each demographic (battle manga in shounen, dark fantasy in seinen, mahou shoujo in shoujo and adult drama in yosei for example) it's definitely not a hardline rule and you can find "exceptions" everywhere.

Suppose that makes sense, spice in life and all that. Again, thanks. Figured people were more specific about it, at least on gay websites like MAL or whatever.

it probably doesn't matter as much on web only manga what the demographics are, but in magazines they usually need to cater more to their targeted audience to increase sales. so you might see a straight rom com in comic cune which has two thirds yuri series suddenly have a lesbian couple for instance.

It matters only slighty less - you still want eyes on your manga. Why would you even try to reach an audience that most likely won't be interested?

Feels like an extreme case of monkeys paw. You get published, BUT you have to cater to our bullshit and potentially ruin your manga as a result of it.

Domekano was plenty popular with males. There's obviously some overlap with female-oriented manga, and it probably was done to widen the audience, but you're absolutely delusional if you think publishing something completely female-oriented, like 7sneeds, in a male-oriented magazine would fly
Anonymous No.279728949

>female-oriented, like 7sneeds,
I don't know much about 7sneeds. I don't know much about female oriented shows /mangs except that a lot of them have many bishonen.
I watched Opus.Colors a few years ago. I think others also mentioned it is rather bad. I didn't like it but refused to drop it. It haa obvious fujobait. The guys were very feminine and it felt weird watching them compared to something with an all male or mostly male cast but that is masculine and not fujobait like a sports anime or some classical anime. I also watched Kizuna no Allele that season, not a fan of it but I enjoyed it a lot more and even watched the second season.

That one was supposed to be for women?
Didn't it have a bigamous harem end?
Anonymous No.279729101 >>279729225

No, it had the guy choosing the old woman that was actively fucking a married man over the mother of his child to whom he mutually lost his virginity with. It would be difficult to make it more female without taking it into full parody territory.
