am I the only one who can't watch modern anime? they're nothing like anime have been historically. I hate how everyone frowns upon anime "cliches" nowadays and authors try to stray away from them. that's what made anime, anime. modern anime lacks soul. also the art is always weird and glossy.

it seems like anime has tried out all ideas and used up everything it could do. Today you are only left with the same generic isekai slop, and its not even nice to look at anymore.
Anime died 2014. You can still find a good show or movie here and there but nothing compared to back then.
