I liked part 1 more, but looking back it really had massive issues as well, didn't it?
I kinda just glanced over them because I was reading week by week instead of seeing the whole thing in one block.
They were introducing too many characters that showed up just to job and die mere chapters later, a lot of decisions were questionable, the puppet devil's design was pretty retarded (though I'm 90% sure everyone was shitting on it in the threads back then).
We were kinda just fueling the train with memes for the most part.
Part 2 I think is just okay. It has its ups and downs but it's overall more "stable" than part 1, although that also plays to its demerit.
The biggest blunder that made me roll my eyes is probably the reincarnated control devil being killed and fed to Denji though. And Denji got over it pretty quick, I get that he only cares about his base instincts ultimately but that has me ask why the fuck is the author giving me conflicting messages when he was basically doing the opposite in part 1 like when he fucked Power and didn't really feel anything for example.

Asa and Yoru are trapped under generic rubble. This is what needs to motivate Denji to act and make a real decision.
Yoru says they can't escape because of a reason. Asa doesn't listen and they escape. These two pages are completely useless.
