Watching the anime right now. The story seems to be Mona and Asahi endlessly fighting for Medaka's attention and affections but Mona doesn't seem to realize that's what she is doing. It's kind of annoying and it feels like something a hack mangaka would keep indefinitely as a status quo to write empty chapters.
