It's from Naisho episode 4. They weren't TV episodes so they may have had more work put into them. I recall Naisho 4 being particularly high quality. But there were some very high quality episodes of the series as well. Notably Dokkan episode 40 and another one directed by the same person. You occasionally get TV anime episodes that manage to reach what people would generally consider movie quality.

I wonder what kids even thought of an episode like that when it aired. I can imagine all the subtlety and artistry going straight over their heads. Hana-chan would call it boring.

I was watching the sow, but I stopped for a while and, upon returning (right around Sharp, episode 10 or so), I found out I couldn't really stomach the "comedy episodes" anymore. Just out of curiosity, could anybody give a list of memorable episodes in case I didn't want to go through roughly 150 of them to find the few that would get me interested?

If you can't stomach the comedy episodes, I think that means you don't like the show. It's a comedy show after all and even the episodes that don't focus on the comedy have comedy in them (at least some), and you already watched more than one season which means you've given it more than a fair chance. Way more than a fair chance!
If you're not connecting with the comedy, you're not connecting with such a large part of the show that watching it would be to endure it, not to enjoy it.
And thats fine.
If you started watching it and at some point enjoyed it to a certain level, maybe your taste has changed, and that's fine too. If you somehow change again and that change makes it so you connect with Ojamajo Doremi, that's also fine.

I would hate to think you feel "forced" to watch something you don't enjoy. Maybe that's not the case, but I'm just saying that it wouod be bad.

I also take it naturally. Yeah, my tastes changed a bit and, right now, am not up for 90% of Doremi's feel. Nothing to feel sad about.
But I have skimmed through so many posts of those "memorable" Doremi episodes, including a few in this very thread calling them "the best episodes ever in anime", so I can't help but get a bit curious, there were none of those in the 60 or so I watched until now.

Well, there were VHS tapes with abridged shows that condensed entire seasons into a few hours, with narration replacing most of the dialogue.
Someone posted the Ojamajo Doremi ones here last year, with narration provided by Chiemi Chiba, in character of course, so it was Doremi herself storytelling you the anime.
Which I find very interesting, and I wanna watch them all for the novelty but for me doesn't replace the series.

Personally, while I'd like more, it would be easy to mess it up. I'd like if they made like spiritual sequels. Not saying they should pump them out like Precure, but making similar series with different characters.
