Why would it even matter if she has a mysterious photo of her with the Hajime guy? Why doesn't she just tell him that she's in love with him right now?

I had so much fun settling in to watch the 1st episode yesterday and now I'm confused. Instead of continuing being a handsome funny cool guy, Hajime is suddenly acting like a depressed gay bitch sitting in the rain over some earrings and the new white woman character is giving me lectures about plastic surgery. Wtf am I watching

Surely there will be a big thread about it since there's still a lot to unravel.

Following up on this because I check and it does say 13 eps. I was assuming it was 12, so I was misinformed.
Actually good to hear since more time to wrap things up seems better considering how the story is.

Eh, I think it's just Sci-Fi.
And some people were not expecting it to be Sci-Fi, and think the title is meant to be taken literally.
Maybe that's a narrow audience. But it's nice to have something different.
The setting is cool as well.
We'll see how it all turns out in the end.
