Honestly anyone who says they got addicted to oxies when they were not banging at least 200 mg a day. Is a pussy or lair its babies first "real" opiate. 8 mg of dilaudid is as strong as 80mg of oxy and any real junkie can bang 80 mg of dillies with only getting a rush no high.
You cant become a junkie from taking it orally its all physiological. Even if you start sniffing/smoking it, you need to be doing it 3+ times a day well over 80mg a dose because that shit builds a tolerance quickly. You need to be doing that for AT LEAST 90 days in a row. Even then quitting cold turkey would be easy peasy you'd feel sick for only 48 hours with another 72 feeling all weird. Its only when you start playing with needles that shit goes south. Or you are a dumb fuck who does random fent pills which give no rush and no real high only knock you out are basically the crack of opiates super addictive no high only knocking you out not even even nodding just straight up putting you to sleep because shits a fucking anesthetic.

It took me 8 years of using on and off(only 3 days a week) then injecting at least 50 mg of dilaudid up to 140ish mg a day for 4 months to become addicted. Now not getting opiates after 36-48 hours causes hardcore seizures randomly. The shitting and puking nonstop from being dopesick isnt that bad. Its being unable to sleep and mentally all fucked up NEEDING drugs nonstop in your mind that sucks. Even being given some benzos you just cant sleep or eat.
Honestly its all about patterns and breaking said pattern its really hard because opiates rewrite your brain when you inject them no pleasure for anything
