can't decide if I want to watch the anime or read the manga.

I actually just rewatched the anime in the past few days. It does a pretty good adaptation of the mangoes. Nothing is really censored. They brutally show arms being broken, intense pain, gore, and all the other stuff. It's pretty good. I would actually recommend watching it if you don't want to read the manga.
I think the playthrough is S1->3rd movie->S2. Then continue the story by reading the manga where the anime has yet to catch up.
I still don't know what's going to happen with the bunny girl tho

They censor nipples and downplay stuff like pissing and such

S1 content is really good and follow up movie and s2 are kinda mid
manga also starts strong but the art quality takes a hit later on and all backgrounds devolve into undetermined gray shaped and fog

Stick with the anime. Anime have majestic music and it got rid of some of the pooping scenes.

Do both. The manga has more details and lore since you can’t squish all the info in it. While the anime is slightly toned down it still show more than most stuff out there, the OST is spectacular and elevate the experience, the voice acting is great as well and the animation is pretty good for most of it.

Do both, the anime's first season is kinda meh, but both the movie and season 2 are great, season 1 is still worth experiencing for the music alone
The manga just has overall better art and a lot of extra information about the creatures and items they find, and a handful of fanservice, both media are worth experiencing, trust me you'll be wishing for more once you are caught up

I'd say watch the anime first, its probably one of the best to have come out in the last 10 years. If you really like it, you can read the manga for more lore, or if you wanna continue with the story. The main appeal of the manga is loli titties, but apparently you arent into that sooo...
