For those anons that haven’t read the webcomic, you are probably noticing how the WC and the manga/anime are pretty much the same and equal pacing without almost no filler or script changes.
This happens until the beginning of the monster association arc, when the manga/anime S1 went from kino to absolute garbage, while the WC didn’t.
To put it into perspective:
From chapter 1 to the start of the monster association the WC has 44 chapters, and the manga has 40 chapters. That makes a 0,91 manga/WC ratio. More that 1 webcomic chapter per manga chapter.
The monster association arc on the WC lasted 54 chapters, while 128 on the manga. That makes a 2,37 manga/WC ratio, almost two and a half manga chapter per WC chapter.

Funny enough, despite this Murata downplayed the distance Psykos could reach with her psychic powers and the distance from which Tatsumaki detected her.

In the webcomic, Psykos' distance from the surface was 1500 meters and she could reach that distance with her psychic power without any support. What Psykos thought was impossible was for Tatsumaki to find her from that distance, not for her psychic powers to reach that distance.

In the manga the distance was reduced to a third, 500 meters, and on top of that Psykos needed several relay points to reach that distance, which is nonsense considering that she is supposed to be dragon-level.

Well, Murata's comment may be just his opinion. Even if Tatsumaki wasn't supposed to be as strong as the manga made her out to be, having the ability to attract a meteor might not be so much of a problem considering that ONE said that Golden Sperm is as strong as the Ossan from his other work and the Ossan was capable of throwing a giant the size of Magurori into space and Tatsumaki in in perfect conditio is supposed to be stronger than Golden sperm.
But at the same time the way it was said implies that she needs to be in perfect condition to beat him, so she's not that much stronger.

They're a small minority. Most were cool with changes like Orochi and Elder Centipede until the Amai Mask and Phoenix Man redraws. I personally liked it. It's fair to observe that Murata's insistence on adding spectacle down to needing ONE to correct his decision to make Boros more clownish has been there from the start, so I can understand why the tournament arc gets heat for being the first major divergence from the webcomic.
The worst part of the tournament arc wasn't the tournament itself, it was what was happening outside of it. Even back then, people were pretty miffed about Garou vs Watchdog Man getting off-screened, myself included. You can argue Murata was told to off-screen it, but considering we see Garou replicating Watchdog Man's fighting style anyway against Genos, it becomes a wasted opportunity to directly see him in action.

I'd say it's not all an improvement, they've harmed Fubuki's character and characterization, and the pacing has been badly hindered.
The whole monster association arc could be put into a single anime season in the webcomic, but in the manga this has been hindered to the point where it takes at least three seasons to adapt the arc.
I also don't like the look of Flashy Flash and Sonic and when I think about it all the additions were unnecessary and only hinder the pace. All we were given was some level of power in some battles while the story was made more inconsistent, it was all completely unnecessary and such fights with these levels of power could be done later.
The fact that the monster association was even known instead of a secret raid made the story more inconsistent in that the public has no reason to think that the association is Incompetent here.

All in all I think the webcomic was much better. The manga gave some moments of hype and fun which are cool or at least they were before the redraws, but that's it, it's an inferior version of the story.

Boros surviving them was boros being strong not Saitama holding his punches. One thing to note about WC vs Manga is the idea of foundations. I think the Manga going bad was not a sudden thing, it was a culmination of a lot of mistakes in the adaptation with the characters and various additions. So even if the manga is flashier here, it's not better in my eyes because there's mistakes being made still. Well, less so up until boros, more so in the coming chapters, but it's still there.

Nah, I'm strongly of the opinion that this was a really bad change, ultimately.
It's cool, but the whole point of this fight is that even a fight against a galactic conqueror like Boros is just utterly one-sided for Saitama.
There's nothing Boros can do to genuinely threaten Saitama, and his absolute best efforts just slightly budge him (>>279831446) or push him a couple meters back (>>279831542). The whole fight's just thoroughly unfair, and Boros actually sending Saitama into space is far too much of a feat and undermines this whole premise.

It works to affirm Saitama's temperament and how even this fight against a monstrously powerful galactic tyrant (who probably deserves a Disaster Level God rating) is still just boring and unexciting to him, but fails to establish him as the physically utterly unbeatable adversary that's so important to the next arc.
The way it's presented to us, he's basically lucky to have hit the moon, since we could reasonably assume he would've been in hot water otherwise, which makes it look as if Boros did actually stand a chance against him, which undermines the intended narrative.
Saitama is just too strong; even while barely trying, to his opponents he's just an unsurmountable wall.

Pretty good analysis, but all things considered, the end of the Deep Sea King arc was probably a bigger case of screwing the pooch with how Saitama's punch stopped the rain when it was more akin to a wet fart in the webcomic.
