Marathoned it myself just the other day since I was sleeping on my backlog of things to check out but it got me hooked. Thing is though for there was something about her voice that was bugging me, something that was ringing bells but didn't look beyond the end credits. I could recognize the family name but not the given name so imagine my surprise when I looked up on MAL for her other roles. Nothing particularly of note listed there but then it clicked.

It was all in the screaming and dork noises! I was listening to the VA voice this ginger slut for over a year but YachiYO's tone and mannerisms were really throwing me off from figuring it out. Hope she gets more roles because she's great in both of them.

also if the robots can have feelings/are sentient, arent they basically slaves? like.. the blond hotel manager isnt really a good guy, right? he encourages the robots to experience and grow -- if he thinks they have that capability, he must understand that he's not just dealing with mindless automatons.

aside from this, yeah, freiren is the only anime i can think of that tackles the theme. the only other thing that comes to mind is gunbuster, though that one really only just touches on it right at the end if i remember correctly. anyway, as i said, i dont watch a ton of anime, so there are huge gaps.
