I liked it at the beginning, peak of my interest was probably the Witch episode.
I think it went completely off the rails after the trio gets split and it became increasingly clear that this will be only 1 cour. The second half feels insanely rushed.
I still enjoy it and I'm curious what they cook up but I think if you divorce it from 0079 and take it purely on its own merits it barely functions as a story.

Since everyone was talking about GQuuuuuux and I had watched most OYW anime and OVAs a few years ago, I decided to watch all 11 episodes in one day.
I’ve rarely seen an anime that suffered from being 1cour instead of 2cour as much as GQuuuuuux. The brutal change from the mecha-flavoured comfy slice of life of a rebellious teenage girl high on hormones and lusting for autistic dick to this mostly nonsensical sci-fi hocus pocus plot came way too fast.
You needed 26 episodes to tell that story, and still, it would have been better without this AU being an AU in-universe.
Also, I want to lick and tickle Machu’s feet.

It got much crazier and I think it’s too fast paced for its own good but I’m genuinely enjoying it far more than I thought I would. I knew it was going to be some timeline fuckery off the bat but didn’t expect a Gridman angle.
I do think the movie is absolutely the intended way to start the series which is a detriment to everyone who didn’t see it. Starting the series with the alternative OYW up till the first Zeknova makes it a lot more clear what direction the series was going from the onset.

Am I insane or are there numerous alpha psycommus from other worlds? In the most recent episode it's said that zeknova is caused by the resonance between the alpha psycommus in the Rose and in the Red Gundam. This makes sense for Char's zeknova at Granada, but never any other point. Why does the zeknova happen at Side 6? It's because the Psycho Gundam was using another alpha psycommu from beyond the time. Why can the GFreD use Cthulhu? It also has an alpha psycommu. Kycilia explicitly states that she needed the Red Gundam but no longer does because she has the GFreD and a pilot for it.

Alternatively, nothing makes sense and the Rose just resonates with the Red Gundam from anywhere for no discernable reason and there's no actual explanation for why the GFreD works with the weapon.

Also, someone very clearly sees the future. It could be Shuji, but I doubt it. The "providence" at work in this world that Char mentions is something else entirely, and whoever he's referring to is the person that texts Machu in her very first scene: "Let's get the Beginning."

There's a lot of other questions that need answers. Who made the GQuuuuuuuX and why? Was its express purpose to break the time freeze on the Rose? Is that the point of the Omega psycommu? If so, who the fuck made that? My money is on the person who made the GQuuuuuuX being both behind the text messages and also operating Haro, and I can only assume it's going to be Amuro.

ALSO, if zeknovas have been things going over into the "other side", then doesn't that mean Char has been to the other side? How did he get back? Was Shuji sent from the other side because of all the shit being tossed into their universe from this one?

There has to be a movie or something after this to make everything make sense.
