Looking good is straight-forward: eat right, sleep well, exercise, develop a positive demeanor, keep a good posture, wear simple, durable, clothes that can be combined, groom yourself daily, and you'll be fine if not exemplary.
Hard work won't make you taller, fix your facial structure, or remove all your blemishes and deformities, but in real life people don't expect you to be a super model and will respect you putting the work to be presentable.
