Both X and Nice are associated with doves, X in the OP/ED and Nice right before he supposedly died. Both are associated with white. X seems might have OCD tendencies like Nice, seen in is PV where he straightens things on his desk, starts working right on time.
Also X snaps, which coincidentally causes him to make a finger gun, and Nice's signature pose is double finger guns. If X was Nice, it would be a death fakeout for Nice, and this show loves death fakeouts.

This one is pretty bad. E-Soul's identity was unknown, and he never took off his mask, therefore X could be E-Soul, since his identity is also unknown. E-Soul was also the first X. E-Soul could also be a death fakeout.

X is the most important character despite almost never showing up, so it would make sense if he was secretly an important character in the first arc. Miss J is responsible for making Lin Ling a hero, so it could have been that she is actually X who has a plan for him. There were strange things in the first arc. Nice falls on the street and dies, but his death is somehow hidden. Miss J is also literally right there after Nice dies. It doesn't make sense for Lin Ling's ad to appear. All this could be explained if Miss J was X. Also both are hot.

I marathon 12 eps in one go, this show is just meh so far, I really shouldn't have raised my expectations with this studio after Link click 2... It's mid most of the time then it has one great moment then going back to being mid.
This show would be more entertaining if it was directed by a Japanese director, I missed how fun Tiger and Bunny was, chinese donghua always focus too much on moral lessons and cliche melodrama. The narration gets worse each episode after the first E-soul episode, the pacing also feels needlessly slow, it's like being forced to watch fillers for char dev. And yet aside the first guy, the rest of hero characters doesn't feel fleshed-out at all, now what's the point of watching a jobber had an full-length episode fight with another jobber? The fight scene was pretty but was less cathartic and emotional than Cyan hugging Queen. I'm not sure it was necessary to go all out for this jobber match but at least I suppose it was an actual female rivalry that didn't crystalize over a man or boob size. That's still a bit rare in anime so kudos for focusing on that. Not to mention the arc passes the Bechdel test so while a bit mid in execution I can only applaud the intention.
I wasn't too sold on their first eps but now I do think Cyan and Queen are cute. Really I'm just glad Queen has friends. Go Queen. Also it seems Queen doesn't actually has such a good relationship with her dad? She clearly doesn't feel supported by him despite his connections. I wonder what happened but I suppose we'll learn about that somewhere down some other hero's arc. I'm looking forward to it, I really want to know more about her motivations.

I think some anons are being too harsh sometimes, this is a very obvious anthology series so of course some characters will be more boring or interesting than others. The series started extremely strong with 2 male leads with admittedly better interesting baggage presented to guide the setting (Nice dying, Ling Ling having to pretend to be Nice, becoming his own Hero. And then Yang Cheng being the poster child for literallyme.jpg anons having nobody that likes him and thinking he's being cucked when the girl is showing all signs of liking him but he has his I NEED TO BE A HERO autism that is making him forget himself) and both of these arcs end in an incredibly bittersweet way with neither having a fully happy ending. Cyan's arc starts somewhat tragic but ultimately ends up pretty happy with not that many stakes in it compared to Ling/Yang and Queen is also similar except she's always been a prodigy which makes you think that she SHOULD be perfect at everything, which again doesn't have any big stakes.

It feels wrong that this show is so underwhelming despite using so many marketing tactics like the hero polls, tons of PVs/trailers, beginning episodes use 3D and look great while most of the episodes will be in 2D. The storytelling with the ensemble cast is repetitive yet disjointed. Queen's arc even repeats some information from Cyan's arc while barely adding anything.

This show's goal was to have 10 character designs, and giving each of them a meaningful role in the story was secondary.
