I watched about half the shows airing this season and it's the only show that actually makes me laugh. That alone makes it worth watching.
Beyond that, it surprises you a lot and doesn't rely only on cliches, or it takes them and plays with them knowingly. It has a lot of likeable characters, even the designated annoying Zenitsu-type guy is not that bad. It looks good and has a good OP/ED.
I rate it 4/5. Another unique thing about the show is that it literally appeals to everyone and is basically perfectly balanced. It isn't like shonen series that are mostly dudes, where guys watch for the fighting and girls watch for the men. You don't see this setup often. I'm really pleased that it's popular and hope it becomes more commonplace in general.
Nice is best girl of the season easily and that's in a season stacked with above average waifus.

Gag of the week that works well enough as something that takes 3 minutes to read through every week at the tail end of Jump, but suffers as something you have to sit through for 20 minutes.

Plus the nerf that is anime voice direction,pacing, and editing that just murders whatever comedic timing it might've had in the page.

It's kind of astonishing to see this many people on /a/ struggle to grapple with the idea a shonen that's mostly one-off comedy episodes and will every now and then have an arc that's a bit more serious before going back to comedy.
You know, like Gintama? Ranma 1/2? Dozens of other anime going back decades?

What I have learned from 2 decades of browsing /a/ is that you should never read manga, especially not the same series on a weekly basis. It's really that easy. If the anime gets lame, it's easy to watch at 2x, and you get a long break between seasons and the possibility of the anime skipping lame parts anyway.

I was reading it and enjoying it a lot until Nico got de-aged and I stopped reading after that since I thought it was a dumb idea. I checked a recent chapter and saw that she's aged back up a decent amount so I might start reading it again.

Its got a relaxing mix of story, and slice of life with a fun magic gimmick. Characters are enjoyable, their are some gags that surprised me with how funny they were. Part 2 personally I like, its cute to watch what happens and the new situations keep it fresh. Overall 8/10 please let Kanashi have a win.

The Anime is a really great adaptation. The Manga was really solid until the second saga starts, it's still good but it feels like it threads familiar territory too much at tines
