I’m waiting for the physical version so I’ll have to get back to you on that. I’m actually just now finishing up Intuition. I frankly don’t remember much from Surprise, but this seems like a new start from what I can tell. I can feel the nearly decade long gap in the writing.
Koizumi sounds too much like a self insert for Tanigawa during the mystery novel discussion, but Tsuruya’s challenge was more interesting, and served as a unique way to give her some backstory and introduce the new character. I’ve only got a little bit left to read. I made it to where they solve Tsuruya’s mystery.
