In the later half of the manga there are a lot of chapters about the side characters and their temporary struggles. Very similar to that mini arc involving Oshiro and her karate rival.
You get some misc chapters about Eru, Raidou's imouto, Ren, Aharen's mom, and Futaba.
And honestly those are the weakest chapters of the later half. The way Ishikawa's deal was handled in the anime is what these side character manga chapters come off as.

Being a property inspector is a hard job.
This reveal was much better in the manga. The manga had black boarders the entire run up until this point since the entire manga was from the pages of the diary. The borders were witched to a normal white once they got to the present time, the last chapter.

S1 was so amazing, and S2 just coudn't live up, the suprise of Aharen actually having feeling and it not just being a pure comedy was one of the nicer suprises I had in an anime in a long time and knowing it would be part of the story going forward made S2 not as good
