I think you're really overstating what she did there. The Kito matriarch is mostly the one steering the worm, Momo is mostly providing the windsock effect. And I don't think she perfectly calculated anything, she just made sure a bunch of the sharks were shot out in front of where the typhoon was about to shoot lightning. Also, they established awhile ago how Momo's powers work in this form, she's still able to move human-sized things.
