It's an alright show, but G-Witch really doesn't open up its world at all, and half of the people miss some very simple stuff (me included). Like seriously, I still see people thinking Asticassia was a military academy, and I thought this as well until recently. Then I read Okouchi's comments denying it's a military academy, the M&W lorebook explaining that the school was creating workforce for different space industries, and a simple rewatch pretty much made me realize that Asticassia was a vocational school like Anaheim Technical College from Unicorn. Seriously, it took me almost two years to come to the conclusion that Suletta was actually a civilian and not a future soldier, and it wasn't strange for Earth House kids to set up a medical company after all or for tanuki's dream to be setting up a school.

If that's not a failure in worldbuilding, than I don't know what is.

I will fully admit that I'm a retard, but in my defense, the duels and some of the school stuff threw me off, alongside speculation by anons at the time. I seriously thought the show was gonna go the way of S2 having all the kids, now as fully-fledged soldiers, fighting corporate wars. Pic related is my face, when I was reading the lorebook, thinking about why test pilots would need to know MS combat, and then realizing why.
