The one thing I always appreciated about the MGS is that Amuro never ended up with Sayla. It's just one of those obvious MC ends up with FemC things but they never really got together no matter the timeline or future AU.

I always kind of liked that restraint and didn't do the obvious. It's sorta like how the Street Fighter movie paired up Ryu and Chin Li just cause they're the faces of the franchise even if they both barely had any interaction.

Machu is sort of a textbook protagonist, so it went relatively smoothly with her. In the first episode, she’s introduced as a regular girl living her simple, daily life, and then, all of a sudden, she sneaks inside of a Mobile Suit. It might seem like she’s a bit reckless and eccentric… but in my interpretation, the most unique trait of Machu’s personality is that she doesn’t have prejudices.

Side 6 is basically a normal, everyday world, somewhat resembling present day Japan. But there’s an area inside the colony where immigrants —both legal and illegal— and refugees live, people who are relatively discriminated against within the colony. Even in a society with such a dark side, Machu doesn’t hold any prejudice towards the refugees and the illegal immigrants there. Whether that’s because she fundamentally lacks the concept of prejudice, or because she simply doesn’t want to acknowledge it, even I am not totally sure.
If a normal girl were to come in contact with a smuggler of illegal Installer Keys like Nyaan, she’d probably report her to the police immediately. But not Machu, she’d just go ask for the “compensation for her broken smartphone” or something. This is to say, Machu basically considers Nyaan to be her equal. In this sense, inside that Side 6, she’s certainly a peculiar girl.

movie idea: Federation found Nu Gundam and Sazabi's core and fused them together to form evil Nu Gundam. They've been reverse engineering it to build their new MS and a proto Titans form in order to stop Zeon from gaining power as half their forces have been wiped out in the civil war making them the weakest they've been.

Machu and Nyaan both travel the world to find Shuuji and train their newtype powers and we see the federation's state after they lost. Cameos from the white base crew. GQX gets an upgrade and Nyaan gets an upgraded GFreD back. Masked Man Challia with a new MS helps them fight off the federation using the evil Nu to cause a zeknova to wipe out Zeon's forces and to bring them into a timeline where federation won. Char comes back in to help with improved Red Gundam with his wife Lalah. Shuji drops in to stop this and then finally meets Machu and Nyaan again and they all have fun at the beach after stopping the federation with Amuro helping.

1. give gquacks 26 episodes
2. the first 9-10 are dedicated to the clan battle shit, letting shuji, machu and nyaan develop more and gain a more believable relationship, while also using the clan battles to go more into how zeon winning the OYW actually affected the world significantly
3. episode 11, you have the group break up like they did in the show and start going into the whole plot about the rose of sharon
4. from episode 12 onwards, the show should focus entirely on that plot line, giving it as much room to breathe and develop, give more time to make the explanation of whats going on feel more natural and not rushed. have nyaan's feeling of wanting an actual family or whatever be shown through kycillia. let kycillia's own want of having children interfere with her trying to use nyaan, making her waver for once. have machu get to know challia's crew better and develop a weird rapport with them, as well as making her more inquisitive and want to know what the fuck her and the gquuuux's role in this bullshit is

Though, there were some odd lines in the dialogue. I'm wondering if there was maybe a translator messing up some ambiguity or something. Like Machu pointing out to Shu that he has feelings for Lalah seemed odd considering the following scenes. There were theories that he was Lalah's son due to the interaction with Shiiko Sugai and just stuff in general but that theory seems less likely now maybe.
In general I'm unclear about the mechanics of things at the end. He wanted to kill Lalah to prevent her from getting her heart broken by being rejected by Char after finally creating one where he survives. Seems to say that no matter what Lalah will end the universe once she wakes up and then she'll create another one. However, he also says he's killed her a ton of times and in the end Lalah wakes up and fucks off without destroying the universe.
