I don't have any sort of nostalgia for the stuff this is based on but I thought it was quite nice, the faces definitely look weird from certain angles but if you're doing a nostalgia throwback better to be genuine about it warts and all

The main character designer's apparently actually been in the industry since the late 80s and worked on things ranging from Excel Saga to All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku

I enjoyed what I saw, the concept has a lot of potential. Zero is adorable.

Was pretty alright. Story is cookie-cutter as hell and moves both too fast and too slow at the same time, but the voice-acting was seriously good and the designs for the main characters work well. A few nice background designs by Ogura Koubou, too. Action was a mixed bag., but I didn't hate it.
Way too much time was spent on the dumb NFT shit waifu brigade in the boring white void though. Cut those out and focus on Zero and DD. And Ring, but that ship has sailed.

I do like this weird 80s 90s style cheek and face shape, I can appreciate them specifically going for an older look for the whole thing, and not just for gag segment.

The CGI's shit but nearly every space anime from the late 90s used shitty CGI for some reason.

I know Lost Universe (the anime infamous for inventing the "QUALITY" meme) had a studio fire, or their studio flooded or some shit and they lost tons of work, so they cheaped out with CGI because it was "cheaper and easier" than drawing everything again.
