I've heard rumors over the years that there was supposed to be a full blown Genshin anime done by ufotable. It's because I watch other series from my backlog while I also watch the seasonals, and when I then get interested in a series half-way through the season (usually through threads here), I just put them in the back-log, rather than pausing what I'm currently watching and trying to catch up and follow them seasonally.
I also have a lot I want to watch next season, so for now they are demoted to the backlog, until they become one of the backlog shows I watch alongside the seasonals.
