The latest series of GTO, GTO Paradise Lost Kai, ended a couple months ago.
Onizuka lost his virginity a few years ago, with some random new teacher who became a plot point for the whole thing. Several volumes later, the series ended with Onizuka taking her to, like, Hokkaido or somewhere far like that, getting married, and having a kid. She's an ultra roastie though.

Shirase is 100% as based as Eikichi, though his show was older if I'm not mistaken. Same with Gun x Sword, Demonbane, Godannar and SRT.
Some of the guys from Gate, the Meikyuu Black Company MC, and possibly the guy from Needless are pretty based, but nowhere near as Eikichi.

Shirase started when GTO ended, while I love the guy he's not an ex delinquent so there's that (though he is based in risky situations in his own way). I like all MCs from those shows but they all lack the entire gestalt of what made Eikichi that based... like Kyosuke, he actually has the guts to fuck Excellen, but he isn't collected enough to educate Bullet like Eikichi did to Kunio. Being the greatest teacher is something only Onizuka did, which is why I didn't even list SZS. Mecha anime is kinda cheating though, the half that didn't get co-opted by evangelion still had the same mindset GTO did well into the 2000s. Trillion game is there because I like Haru, it's tryhard but that's how those money types roll a lot of the time... every rich guy in an expensive car is that kind of retard.
