Lazarus of Bethany was a follower of Jesus Christ, but he dies outside of his company. Four days after his death, Jesus comes to his tomb and, with a prayer to God, opens the tomb, revealing Lazarus to still be alive, for Jesus is the resurrection.
The anime is about a guy who breaks out of prisons is captured by a set of agents (a black man, a rich boy, a russian agent, a hacker girl) and their statesec handler. They're trying to track down a famous scientist who revealed that his cure-all painkiller is going to kill all of its users in 30 days.
They then spend the first 25 days going on vague adventures in the direction of the scientist, seeing various reactions to the future society, such as its vapid indulgence, medical megacorps, and AI data-communes, while there's also some stuff about some islands being lost to the sea because of global warming, something the doctor cared about. Then the glowies start getting involved in the investigation and now we're on the final day and something bound to happen
