I just want a proper anime studio to do a proper adaptation of Souten No Ken.
Not trash like the one made by APPP and has some of the worst animation in recent memory.
Not 3DCGshit like the one made by Polygon Pictures that has completely messed up pacing and skips and messes up so much shit from the manga (and has worse graphics than PS2 cutscene).
A proper adaptation by a proper anime studio.
Is that so hard to ask for?

There's no voice actors in the current VA industry that could actually match the original cast as far as I know. You had a basically all star cast of great male voice actors.
I will note though that it's a game's voice recordings, an anime might play things up or do the voice directing better if they happen to use those voice actors.

That's the problem. If they're making a new adaptation, I want something fresh. I don't want it to be a copy of a 30 year old anime, where all they do is imitate old voices and shit, which just sounds like a soulless pastiche. I mean I understand you but this is a huge 40 year old franchise which has already ran through many voice actors. I can't really think of how they could even do certain characters different. And sometimes I don't even think that works out too well. Like in the remake movies Raoh sounds way too soft to feel like Raoh half the time.

What was the best show they recently made? I saw they made the Initial D remake movies which looked nice, but I thought they left much to be desired in the other areas.

I think they had 6 people working on the manga at the start, but half the guys working on it had to leave for some reason or another. So it's just 3 guys who were working on it.

Neither. It's currently running in Zenon, chapter 33 came out a month ago. Volume 5 is out next month.

Nobody knows who's doing the VA. It might be the guy who's in Legends Revive but that's all we can guess.
The guy who did it after Kamiya was literally celeb casting (Hiroshi Abe, who i mostly know as Lucius from live action Thermae Romae which he was actually good in)
