Probably my biggest issue with KGB is that we don't get more small characters moment like that, I feel like it's a common complaint as well. People like these characters and want to see them interact more, obviously this is a battle series so we gotta keep the story moving and action coming. However some slow down moments here and there with the characters interacting some more would be nice.

I remember going over the arc looking for any evidence of that and no, there’s nothing in the text to suggest Chihiro knows about the abuse or Ice Waifu which is actually pretty interesting. It might not be intentional, Takeru could have just not cared or not had the time but the (potential) implication is that Hakuri is actually really private and that Chihiro thinks Hakuri’s just a super moralfag and that puts his willingness to kill his family in a different light.

Chihiro to me doesn't come off as a person who would try to ask about someone's life or talk about his own life in detail. Even in the chapter where he brings Hakuri to the base it almost looks like Shiba is the one who talked about Chihiro's past and goals.
