this series makes a lot more sense as an anthology with no actual literal connective tissue other than a general sense of cultural paranoia

I would have liked it much better if the final shot was Tsukiko in a mental health ward slowly panning out to the city unharmed and unchanged recontextualizing everything as pure delusion and mental illness rather than somewhat matter of factly stating she is a godhead capable of leveling cities

What's the difference between a show ending its fantastic elements and then saying nah actually this is the real world, when the viewer watching it in the actual real world knows it's a cartoon either way, vs. just the show just ending
