So what exactly is JJK’s appeal? I am not super into aura farming, just normal battles with good plots is sufficient.
When people often compare Solo Leveling’s writing to JJK, JJK is only slightly better makes me not want to get into it.

Megumi HAS gotten both Malevolent Shrine and 12 Shadows. He was the vessel of more Sukuna fingers than Yuji and Sukuna actively possessed him for over a month.
We don't see Megumi fight after the Shinjuku Showdown, but he has all of Megunas powers, just less CE or skill.

It's nothing like Solo Leveling or aura farming.
It has excellent battles where teamwork and feints are the ways to success. You might actually really enjoy it. I loved that the fights actually had flow, its something I'd been looking for for a long time.
But do NOT watch the anime. Terrible and unfaithful adaption. It is a manga only series. Trust me.

I didn't realize until I spoke with people like you but reading manga is a skill. For veterans, it is very easy to read the flow on the page. Try to compare it to One Piece for example and you'll eventually understand.

My only dissapointment with the finale was Megumi never achieving his perfect DE or doing anything vs Sukuna at all, otherwise Shinjuku was 10/10 manga .
