Do you think Yotsugi was supposed to be a parody of a shonen protagonist or other similar action hero? She has a singular powerful move that always gets the job done. It is called "Unlimited Rulebook" which could be seen as a nod to how convoluted the rules can get in those kinds of series. She also proudly adds the whole "posed look" line to the end of everything. Maybe this could all hint in universe that she got partially inspired by reading battle manga. Kind of like how her "Peace Peace" is based off of a thing Japanese do as a sort of gag. Yotsugi is a girl that desperately tries to fit in with the living.

Yotsugi is a Reiclone and a parody of stereotypical chuuni LN power fantasy tropes. See Nasu's "Unlimited Blade Works", etc.
The "posed look" gimmick is because she's a 100 year old corps- I mean tsukumogami who can only fit in by mimicking contemporary teenagers without understanding what the hell they're on about.

I feel like this is a big part of the magic of Nisio's writing. Introduce something cool, don't fully establish how it works, but tease the possibility of a future explanation that could recontextualize everything that came before.
Wait to see which parts readers care about, then flesh those out.

Efficiency will always be one of the best traits. Nisio found an efficient way to write good stories. Even better that he got paired with a studio that is good at efficient quality like Shaft. They could be printing this stuff for decades to come, and it would more or less be the same as it always was in a good way.

I like how much care Shaft puts into Yotsugi fanservice. They manage to make her have some of the sexiest scenes despite her not showing skin as much. Her character has perfect build up to each moment, and it leaves you excited waiting to see what part will be shown next. Yotsugi is like a present we are slowly unwrapping.
