But it can potentially have impact if she engages with a character like Asa and basically gives her the Makima treatment, proving that she's been setting up each of her failures in life all along to turn her into the perfect weapon creation machine.
That's just one of the many possibilities that could happen, Death could also just be as she says she is, a victim of circumstances really, an "unwilling" antagonist.
Will it be as impactful as the twists from P1? Maybe not. But I do think people are also killing off any potential enjoyment from P2 by comparing every event that happens to P1 and weighing every scene based on whether it "hit as hard" as P1.
