Tbf, a lot of UmiTaki art was drawn pre-Mujica before we learned just how emotionally fragile she was.

The handsome rapechad-esque tropes lifted straight from yaoi were always silly, but it's still not hard to see Umiri as successfully filling the role of a physical top (even a suave one), even if Taki is definitely the emotional top in the ship.
