I don't remember the author establishing him suffering from enochlophobia in the first chapter, although it makes sense for someone who was abandoned and grew up in the woods to not be good with a crowd of people. Anyway, decent second chapter. Not a big fan of Chiyou's owl form, because I would prefer to see her in her actual form, but, again, it's one of those details that makes sense. Pretty good 2nd chapter.
They're still firmly on track with the main plot line.
A secondary, smaller goal is established (find Chiyou's acquaintance).
We get a reinforcement to the main goal (Chiyou longing for what she has missed)
We get a secondary goal in the form of Kou's personal growth, something that Chiyou herself is conscious about and that she's trying to fix
While nothing amazing, the combat sequence was better than last chapter's
I'll keep reading this for a while.

Yeah so far it's very solid all around, this definitely has the most potential I've seen in a jump manga in a while.
I also like how the body parts could be literally anywhere, monsters might have some, humans might have some, some might outright be sealed / hidden in a way that could require different mechanics to obtain rather than just beating someone up
Since MC doesn't know the world outside his forest and Chiyou hasn't seen anything in 5000 years I see good potential for world building to expand as they travel

I'm having a hard time imagining how recovering each body part will play out in the story in a way that feels touching (as in this chapter where she said it had been 5,000 years since she saw this place with her own eyes). Compared to Dororo, who regains some of his humanity with each body part, which also improves his life (he was blind, deaf, mute, among other things), Chiyou already acts like a normal person. I wonder if having her recover her face first will bite the author in the ass later.
