Yeah kekkai will be like super saiyajin - everyone will get one. But it makes sense, you can't keep raising the stakes with all these superhuman villains when all your MC can do is kick fast. At some point it's gonna get ridiculous that Yodaka wins against all these mutants with just bare hands.

I like the general direction the series has taken, but I think kekkai is a mistake. Giving everyone (quirks) makes the series lose some of its identity and originality in fights

That's true to an extent, but if you don't introduce something like that to spice things up, eventually the series is gonna become repetitive. There are only so many times it's interesting to watch Yodaka get serious and kick somebody hard.

I honestly don't think Yodaka needs a kekkai at all. The other jobbers might develop ones for themselves, but I'd be okay with Yodaka being a posterchild for "look what you can achieve if you just focus on the basics and build on a steady foundation". And he's already "the most powerful" anyway. What I really want to see is him getting some development in the social department.
Shit, actually if he found a "technique" that lets him stay in a social situation for longer without having an existential crisis within five minutes, he could call it his "kekkai", just as a bit.
By the way, the first time I've heard of the ninja technique of dislocating all your joints to slap someone really far away (or from behind a corner) like Suzume does, was in a Russian sci-fi/fantasy book set in 15th century China. I'm trying to find it, but apparently unlike some of the authors' other books, that one was never translated into English. Pity, it was a fun romp from what I remember.
