Did the makers get bored with this season? It's like they found out the 1st season didn't do all that hot so they rushed the 2nd season thinking this will be the last time this series will get any more of the anime

they tried their best to incorporate it with red reawakening due to the car radio's report of a lone fighter helping out but the original interpretation is still very sadly missing

My main take on this season is that they spent al the animation on Usukubo's breasts in the first episode.

a year ago i read the manga from the start until the part where red gets replaced and i said that while the story was okay, ti suffered from pacing issues and that some of the arcs were too long, and people tried to gaslight me saying that they were fine
when your chapters come out sporadically and sometimes the current arc gets stopped for a flashback (or two), at some point you have to realize that negi is not serious about this shit at all

The last half of this season was bad, but the last three episodes were simply unwatchable.

As an anime only I had to check every week if I missed last week episode somehow, but not, is just they butchered it so much that it feels as if half the episodes are missing.

There is "rushing" things and then there is this. HOW THE FUCK SOMEONE SAW THIS AND THOUGHT IT WAS FINE?

You can kind of guess what happened "offscreen" but it feels like half a season (or even an entire season) happened off screen during the last true episodes.

Haven't followed the thread this season but how did this show get so bad.
Started with a spy / infiltrated protagonist intrigue premise, only to turn it into a bland battle shounen. Fights in this arc have been laughably bad.

it's purposefully never addressed, but the anime made even less of a big deal out of it. in the manga, D checks Sousei's pulse after stabbing him, making sure that he's actually dead. in the anime, he just looks at him and starts running away happily.
for spoilers about what actually happened, THAT Red did die, but similar to how the IRA were housing clones of Suzukiri to make divine tool 2.0s, Yellow (Shinya) houses infinite clones of Red so that if anything happens (a spergout, a death out of the view of the general public, just for fun, etc.), Shinya can replace him at any time. only the most recent Sousei clone in the manga is somewhat relaxed, because finally Shinya folds and decides that no matter how strong Sousei's inner rage makes him (also addressed in further detail later on), cleaning up after his messes just isn't worth the trouble anymore.

i imagine that this was their substitute for what would plant the seed of urabe's decision to join hibiki later on in the manga. it's charming to see all of the dusters helping him out but it really doesn't make any sense at this point in the story. maybe they're just scared that if they don't follow a ranger's orders something bad might happen to them, but at this time, they all still see humanity as the ones who imprisoned them to fight their fake, made-up battles.
they should have no reason to act all cheery about saving humans and talk shit to yakushi for being a monster who does "anything he wants." D hasn't started his process to liberate any of them yet, they should still see him as a fuckup fighting an unwinnable battle. that comes after the 1-year timeskip.

I still firmly believe that the director at Yostar is a Yotsuba hater and decided that Negi had to be punished accordingly by poorly adapting his passion project kino.

pretty terrible series imho, story is incredibly bland, there's not much to care about story/character-wise
