Kiyohiko Ozaki ( 尾崎紀世彦 ) was a Japanese singer and actor. He was noted for his dynamic singing voice and sideburns. His nickname was Kieyo. Born as the second son of three boys in what is now Shibuya, Tokyo, he grew up in Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture from the time he entered elementary school. His father and older brother are classical ballet dancers and his mother, Reiko, is a member of the Japanese drama dancing team. His paternal grandfather was Henry Buckingham Lucas, an Englishman. In 1971, he released his greatest hit, Mata Au Hi Made (Until the Day We Meet Again). It sold over a million copies and won the Japan Record Award at the 13th Japan Record Awards as well as the Japan Music Award. The scenes of him holding up the Japan Record Awards trophy, smiling and flashing the "V sign", as well as the subsequent live performance, are still played on television to this day.

Until the day we meet again, until the moment we can meet
I don't want to talk about the reason why we parted
For some reason, I just feel lonely
For some reason, I just feel empty
Because we'll hurt each other and lose everything
Together, we'll shut the door
Together, we'll erase our names
At that time, don't you think our hearts will say something?
Until the day we meet again, until the moment we can meet
Where are you now, and what are you doing?
I don't want to know about that
I don't want to hear about that
Because we'll return to the days when we cared for each other
Together, we'll shut the door
Together, we'll erase our names
At that time, don't you think our hearts will say something?
Together, we'll shut the door
Together, we'll erase our names
At that time, don't you think our hearts will say something?
