Sadly the novels were released during that era where very few novels were ever translated. And nobody wants to go back and translate 20 year old stuff when they can release Flavor Of The Month Isekai Volume 243 instead

Slayers is my favourite anime of all time. It has the comfiest filler episodes out of any anime.
