So if a person continues watching, they'll come back and keep clicking on a good rating and keep the show up. On a bad show, the person leaves half way thru the season and stops rating it. To me, that'll keep the bias on a good show up but a bad show is still a bad show. The only thing you'll miss is a middling show becoming a sleeper hit by the end, which is rare as fuck cuz japan rarely ever does the ending arc of a show good enough to do a comeback, it's usually they fuck up the end and leave people disappointed
