Because I find it an awful practice, and I don't see a reason why they need to know. I don't give a single solitary fuck if they, or you, think it's justifiable.

Even if there's a one in a thousand chance that a kid has some underlying condition that their parents fail to notice, it is not going to ever convince me to subject myself to being inspected by a school nurse, or any other health professional for that matter.
