I dropped it when they revealed there were mass produced gantz balls in germany. Didn't like the idea that earth tech could build something like that, secretly, let alone mass produce them.
I used to feel angry and frustrated while reading this manga because the side characters (include the random morons that would die in 1-3 chapters) are so fucking DUMB and RETARDED and OVERLY EXAGGERATED RETARDEDLY FUCK
but now I realized it's a gift. it's actually super based. the author knew what it was and intentionally doubled down on the tropes for our entertainment

i'd say it works at being an exciting romp week to week and still has many standout moments even in the later arcs. but you can feel it was written by the seat of its pants, the story just doesn't fully come together
