Itagaki is master of comedy. Half the reason why the joke works so well is the specific visual composition of Yujiro in the top right and Joe William in the bottom left pannel. Just imagine if the top panel was mirrored and Yujiro was on the left, it suddenly wouldn't be half as funny. Same can be said about most everything else about the page, and that's not even getting into the setup within the chapter and Baki later asking "figuratively, right?".
