>>280228372>Wait, you think Bleach is not a series that would benefit from effect-heavy aesthetics? With all the particles and energy beams flying around?Where are these particles in the manga? Kubo's art and the way he draws fight is very simplistic and slow-paced, which is like the exact opposite of Ufotable's crazy high speed sequences where the eye can't even follow everything that's going on. Imagine how stupid some of the fights would look in the Fate style where the strikes become a sequence of flashing speed lines and the screen typically has to be dimmed in order to not give the audience epilepsy. Look at this for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88eVTO9_IHA
>One of the things people rightfully praised in this adaptation is the CGI effectsThe backgrounds, not any of the other stuff. You don't pick a studio based on the backgrounds, especially for a manga that barely even has backgrounds, kek.
>We would also not have the "cinematic" lighting making everything washed out or a garish red/purple in the latter cours. We definitely would have given how heavily Ufotable uses lighting, they just like to make colors saturated and have every scene happen at night or indoors where it's dark. Their heavy use of effects basically requires that in order to hide the imperfections and make the lighting stand out. It's a crutch that works for some shows, especially Kimetsu because of the demons, but not for others.
>No. Remember that infamous slideshow from Mirio's fight? You know just as well as I do that this is not representative of everything they've ever done. Stop being disingenuous.
>This one's a maybe in that it would definitely be better than Pierrot, but still wouldn't beat Ufotable. What we saw in Fire Force is aesthetically a much better fit for Bleach than what Ufotable did with Fate, let alone with Kimetsu which would look very off in Bleach.
>Nope, they aren't what they used to be.They did well with Frieren just a couple of years ago.
